So last night I was shopping at the Kmart in St. John. There was hardly anyone there which makes me wonder how the place stays in business. So there was a man walking around the store asking for gas money and wanting to trade a gift card of some sort for cash. I really could not understand what he wanted, but a man buying dog food stopped to help him and did a trade of some sort at the cash register. As I was watching these men, one down and out and another well to do who's wife probably sent him out for dog food for thier dog named Sparky, I thought to myself that each one of them had a story to tell. How did they get to this moment in thier life? What choices did they make right or wrong? Were they happy with thier lives?
I will probally never know the answer to those questions of those two men. I certainly was not going to follow them out to the dark parking lot to find out. But it was nice to take a moment and wonder about these two strangers. You see, I think that everyone has a story to tell and I also think that we can learn valuable life changing nuggets from the least likeliest of people.
I hope that I never become so caught up in my own life that I don't take time to really see people. May I continue to learn, grow, see , and hear people's stories.....and may I never be afraid to tell mine.
So I think I will continue to blog. If not for anyone who may read this, but for myself and for my own story that is yet to be written. :)
